Take A Doggie Day Trip To Downtown Travelers Rest!

Sign For Travelers Rest, SCHave you been to downtown Travelers Rest lately? As one of Greenville’s little sisters, it has really been transforming itself into a neat place worthy of spending a weekend afternoon exploring. Below we point out a few interesting options for you, your family, and your dog to have a great time in this fun city!

Stroll Down The Swamp Rabbit Trail

The Swamp Rabbit Trail goes right through downtown Travelers Rest. It passes by lots of neat shops and restaurants including the newly opendd Whistlestop Restaurant, Sunrift Adventures, and some cool art/pottery shops. There’s a neat pavilion right in the center of town with beautifully landscaped¬† fish pond beside it. Take advantage of the numerous bench swings close by as a place to rest during your stroll.

Grab Some Coffee At Leopard Forest

If you have someone else along to watch your dog while you duck into Leopard Forest Coffee, by all means do. Their locally roasted beans from their own coffee plantation in Zimbabwe make for some great brew! They also sell their roasted beans to go so you can enjoy more later on!

Check Out Gateway Park

Gateway Park is located right behind Sunrift Adventures and just a short way off the Swamp Rabbit Trail. It offers a mountain bike test track, ball field, and lots of open green space. If you’re getting tired of walking on the paved trail, this is a good place to get off into the green.
